Smart Joules to install its cooling solution at KIMS

Hyderabad: Smart Joules, an energy management company on Tuesday announced signing a cooling-as-a-service contract with KIMS Hospitals in Kondapur, Hyderabad. The agreement is part of Smart Joules’ JouleCOOL model, under which it provides cooling services for 12 years.

The company will be taking up complete accountability of the project, starting from its design and execution to operations, maintenance and energy performance assurance. An official press release from Smart Joules said that KIMS Hospitals will be saving about Rs 20 crore in cooling-related costs. “Smart Joules uses a data-driven design approach that leverages advanced engineering principles and real-time data from numerous facilities. By right-sizing capacities and minimising losses, we ensure maximum efficiency and sustainability,” Arjun Gupta, CEO of Smart Joules, said. The project is financial backed by Danish government’s Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU). The IFU invests knowledge and risk capital in sustainable companies that create impact in developing countries.
